What sort of activities do you do?
We pride ourselves in being able to provide a wide variety of games and activities for all children. We have sport activities such as football, basketball, dodgeball, tennis, archery and many more fun games. We are always creating new games and ideas and we aim for every camp to be different.
In the younger camp, in addition to the sport games, we play lots of mini games with many different themes such as superheroes, animals, pirates and anything else that interests the children. We love to tap into their amazing imaginations to come up with new games.
At our school location in Chelmsford, we also have a muddy adventures area where children are free to create their own adventures and experiences in an ever-evolving forest setting with lots of exciting resources to spark their imaginations.
What does my child need to bring with them?
For the 2 hour weekend clubs at Benton Hall, all your child will need to bring is a water bottle and suitable clothing depending on the weather. We strive to carry on in all weathers so it is really important for your child to be dressed appropriately for this (There are no indoor rooms available to us).
Football boots are helpful but not essential.
Children will need to have sun cream on hot days.
For a day long camp your child will need to bring a packed lunch, water bottle and suitable clothing depending on the weather. Again, just like the camps at Benton Hall, we aim to carry on in all weathers so it is really important for your child to be dressed appropriately for this.
Children will need to have sun cream on hot days.
If you are coming to a day camp at Lawford Mead in Chelmsford, they will also need a pair of boots/wellies (trainers are not allowed in muddy adventures) and suitable clothing for getting muddy so they can use our muddy adventure area (children don't have to get muddy if they prefer not to). There are facilities for them to get changed before/after muddy adventures if required.
